What's New in the Redesigned 2018 Ford Expedition?

For about a decade, Ford has left the Expedition pretty much alone. As a body-on-frame SUV with truly massive proportions, it is a bit too heavy and truck-like to appeal to most SUV shoppers, and a bit too much of an SUV for truck shoppers (despite being essentially an F-150 with a third row of seating instead of a bed).

Finally, the most under-appreciated member of Ford's SUV lineup is getting some love, and we're loving the results!

The 2018 Ford Expedition received a complete ground-up redesign, giving it a stronger engine, lighter aluminum-alloy body, and the latest technology upgrades. Its towing capacity increased to 9,300 pounds, making it the class leader for trailering.

One of its most important feature updates is Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which really comes in handy when trying to steer a bulky trailer in reverse, and solidifies the Expedition as a workhorse built for tough towing jobs.

If you're looking for a vehicle with the rugged capabilities of a truck, but with family-friendly seating for eight, be sure to give the all-new 2018 Expedition another look at Macdonald Motors Auto Group.
