Ford Focus RS Hatchback Delivers a Hot Sports Car Experience, Says AutoGuide Review

The new 2017 Ford Focus RS underscores Ford's commitment to producing fun-to-drive sports car variations of its standard lineup. The Focus RS is the third - and, according to AutoGuide, the hottest - hatchback in Ford's current crop of cars, joining ST versions of the Focus and the smaller Fiesta.

The Focus RS borrows its 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine from the Mustang EcoBoost, but gets a few extra features, including a new twin-scroll turbocharger and larger intercooler, that pushes output to 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. The only transmission is as it should be - a six-speed manual with very short throws and nicely weighted clutch. And...and...there's the stall recovery feature. When the inevitable occasionally happens, all you have to do is depress the clutch and the engine fires back up, even with the car in gear.
